Spring Meditation Intensive

Date and Time Details: The retreat will start on Sunday, April 9th with your arrival at Blazing Mountain. Dinner will be provided on the first day. Departure day will be Monday, April 24th. Breakfast will be served on departure day. The Charter Bus from Denver International Airport on April 9th Arrival Day will depart for Crestone at 1:30 PM MT. Please plan to arrive at DIA by 12 PM latest. For the ride back to DIA from Crestone on April 24th, the bus will leave the retreat center at 6:30 to 7:00 AM MT. Please plan flights home after 12 PM on the departure day, April 24th.

Retreat Daily Schedule: Daily talks at teachers’ discretion - Practice 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. - Breakfast 7:30 to 9 a.m. - Talk/Practice 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Lunch 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. - ROTA/Break 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. - Talk/Practice 3:30 to 7 p.m. - Dinner 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. - Evening practice 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. - Schedule subject to change.

Covid Protocols: Covid vaccination is required for participation. Participants and staff must test negative for the 3 days leading up to the retreat Participants and staff will be rapid-tested for up to 3 days after arrival at BMRC. Additional testing will be administered as needed. Dharma Ocean will supply the rapid tests. We will be adhering to social distancing in the shrine room and dining area. Mask policy will be based on current CDC guidelines. All protocols are subject to change. Some rooms will be reserved for quarantine in case someone does get ill.

The practice of pure awareness is the simplest and the most profound of all the various meditation practices that  taught in Buddhism.  It is also the ground for our spiritual journey whatever our level of experience, from the very beginning up to seasoned Vajrayana practitioners   The intensive provides a unique opportunity to explore this all powerful, primordial essence of our own existence with others in the powerful container of group practice.  It will be a silent retreat, with daily talks and guided practices, and an opportunity to simply sit and just be.
