The 7 day retreat will be led by Anam Thubten and Elizabeth Mattis Namgyel. They will be teaching a Chöd practice based on their translation of the text “The Loud Laughter of the Dakini” by Jigme Lingpa. They will offer the lung (transmission) of the practice at the retreat.

Each day will include four periods of Chod practice as a group as well as individually. We will gather for morning and afternoon teachings,  the midday meal and the evening tsok (feast) practice. The retreat will be held in noble silence.

In order to attend the Chod retreat, participants must have some experience with the Vajrayana teachings of Tibetan Buddhism. Let us know if you have completed or are presently engaged in the preliminary practices of ngondro with Anam Thubten, Elizabeth Mattis Namgyel or another Tibetan Buddhist teacher.  For those participants who will need to complete a 5 month ngondro practice by the start of the retreat, there will be a transmission with Anam Thubten via livestream on September 22, 2019.

If you have questions about the ngondro practice, contact Vicki at: wdm@chariotvideos.com

If you need to apply for scholarship, please contact Cory at cowrig@gmail.com BEFORE registering.
